ASK Now teachers collage
Flash Audio 60 second intro, press PLAY. Here are a few examples of the responses we receive from our clients whom we have helped along on a new adventure. We look forward to hearing from you should you decide to take advantage of the opportunity.

Well, my mother was worried about me going! Here, I interview my mom on her thoughts about me teaching in Korea. She didn't know she was being recorded, so she was honest the whole time. This is a great resource for those of you whose family have worries. Listen to it with your parents, brothers, sisters, aunts and uncles. You'll all feel better about the decision. 30 minutes.

Note: We have too many testimonials for one page! So, we had to develop a blog site just to hold the new testimonials coming in.

We ran out of space here! Click here to see the most recent pictures and testimonials from our clients after reading through the dozens below. (Will open in a new window)

Here is an interview with CBC Newsworld. When the media need to contact someone for information on regulations on teaching in Korea, they approach us about it. Obviously, this is a great testimonial and we're happy to know that we are the company that they rely on.

Are we for real? Well, you tell me. Check out this video from our 2006 Christmas Party, and you can see how we take care of our clients, and whether or not they seem to be happy with our services and if they are enjoying their time in Korea.

We think we have a couple of friends who are actually working in S. Korea who were placed through your organisation. This is one of the main reasons that we're considering going through your agency.
Great website, by the way; your FAQ section is absolutely outstanding.
Alan F.

Hello Jason,

I have been considering teaching in another country for a few years. Your site is the first one that I find to be
truly professional and an organization that I would be willing to engage with. Thank you so much for your time.

Denise A

Dear Jason,

Of all the companies that we spoke with before choosing, ASK Now was the easiest to work with and, now that we are here and can compare our situation with other foreigners that we have met, we are all glad that we went with your company.

Steve, Shannon and I have been into Seoul a number of times now and enjoyed ourselves each one of them. The shopping centers, many containing a slightly out of place looking Buddhist temple or pagoda, have everything that we could want while we are here; and the Seoul nightlife too has a great variety to keep us entertained on weekends. (And, as an aside, we have all learned the hard way the mantra of the Westerner in Korea: ‘Beware of the Soju!')

Take care and – cheers from Korea!
Jesse C

Here is a video that one of our past teachers and current staff member Jennifer made about her experience as both an ASK Now recruit and now as a member of the team.

Hi Stacey,

Things are going really well for us here in Seoul. Our school is really great. Good working hours, good pay, REALLY nice and approachable staff. Most importantly, our good friends will be joining us to teach at the same school as us in a week.

We've seen many great spots in Seoul and we're not even sure if one year is long enough to see EVERYTHING. We've seen the Seoul tower, the Hanok Folk Village, the teahouse in Insadong, the arts and cultural district in Insadong and the USO in Itaewon. The other night we went to a beautiful bath house in Chang dong.

At the moment we are redecorating our apartment. I found some great fabric at the Cloth Market in Dongdaemoon.

We're making quite a few Canadian friends out here. There are constantly new teachers arriving and teachers leaving.

Ok, that's all for now. Thanks for making this happen for us.

Jennica G.

Hi Jason,

I'm at a PC Bong (I finally have the time...it's my Christmas vacation! In fact, we just got back to town after hiking in Seoraksan National Park for a few days - it was gorgeous!). Everything is great...we love Daegu and our apartment is awesome. Our job is also going really well: the people we work with are super-nice and the job is really easy.

We've also met some really nice locals and foreigners alike. Matt loves the food here. So far, I really enjoy any kind of galbi, mandu and all types of Korean junk food.

We've had a good laugh at a few things here so far. The konglish is always funny, and English names given to things are usually pretty funny. My favourites so far have been "Big Yank Men's Underwear"..hahaha...and a store named "Bang Bang"!!

Bye for now, Renee S.

Hey Jason,

Things are good. We went to Japan and met a bunch of other English teachers there. Our school is really nice, and the people are awesome. We have been sightseeing every weekend around Seoul and find it interesting. Thanks a lot for all your help.

Krysten and Brent

Hey Jason,

I've been meaning to get in touch with you guys...but you know how it is, so many firsts to do before you get settled in.

First thing, I want to tell you that I couldn't have asked for a better school, co-workers, kids and director! The director Ginnie and her husband Kim have basically adopted me as their third child, which is great...I'm the VIP foreigner everywhere I go. My Korean is coming along slowly but as time goes by I can work on it a little more.

I'm about 20-25 minute walk from my school but a driver picks me up and drops me off everyday which is good.

Anyway, it's as easy as pie, the kids all get work books and anything else they need and the teachers just have to follow the lesson plan.

PS: I'm totally addicted to Kim chi!

Best regards,

Liane L.

Hi Jason,

Well, we have been here for 5 weeks and we are really enjoying ourselves. I would like to express my gratitude for all of your help. You have set us up with great employers. They are American so communicating is not difficult and their mentality is Western as well.

You asked if we had any stories, well Steve, Jesse and I have lots to tell but I can sum it up in one word - Soju. We have had lots of fun drinking soju since we have been here. One of our highlights was drinking soju and going to the Norae Bang (singing room) That is a funny place.

Another highlight was hiking up a mountain that is about two minutes away from my apartment and stumbling across these beautiful Buddhist sculptures. It was
amazing and very unexpected. Well I will close for now. Thanks once again.

Shannon F

I just returned from spending a month backpacking around Europe and was really tempted to just stay there had I not run out of money :) I came across your program randomly and was thoroughly
impressed with its professionalism, I have seen too many "teach English abroad" websites that seemed sketchy. Thank you.

Erin H

Hello there!

I just spent about an hour or so reading through the ASK Now website and your very well written "Nine Things you Need to Know Before you Teach in South Korea" article. I must say I am very impressed and thoroughly enjoyed the article. I have printed it out and I am going to
share it with my family and some friends this evening so they can feel abit more comfortable about my pending decision to teach in Korea.

I got the distinct impression that
beacuse of your passion for teaching in Korea you might take some time to answer a few of my questions. The enthusiasm inherent in your writing and presentations was truly inspiring. I learned more from your website, articles and audio-visual presentations in the past half hour than I have learned from any other source thus far. Thanks for your help.

Evelyn D

I never got a chance to thank you all for your help in getting me to South Korea. I have made a lifetime of friends already and it's only been two months. The Korean teachers are so helpful and friendly, we make a great team. I have been sending weekly emails home and all of my friends are jealous and want to teach overseas as well. I am recommending that they visit your site as you have so much great information.

I have made some travel buddies and we try to visit one new place every weekend.

Anyhow, just wanted to let you know that your site was really helpful in my decision making process and I have no regrets. I especially enjoyed your extra emails about life in Korea or places to visit. Another American teacher came two weeks after I did and I was teaching him about things that he wasn't aware of that I had learned from your website.

Sarah S.

Hi there Jason,

I have just been checking out the ASK Now website and blogs. It is an excellent site-I loved the videos and the multimedia approach! I am one of those people described in your audio piece as a change in circumstance/change in life person.

I have checked out some New Zealand sites and to be honest I have found your site to be the most helpful about teaching English in South Korea.

All the best,

Tamara D’A.

Hey Jason,

I just wanted to thank you for all the time and effort that you and your company have taken to help out your potential customers.

I appreciate that you have been taking the time to speak with us Jason. I really appreciate the fact that you took the time to get to know us first.

So, it boils down to the fact that we are impressed and at ease with our dealings with ASK Now, and somewhat hesitant about this other company.

Jason, I can't let you know how thankful I am for all the work that you are doing for Misty and I already, and if we should go ahead and accept this position, we will definitely spread the word about how easy it has been working with you.

Thanks again,

Hi Vivianne!

I want to take the time to let you know what a pleasure it was to speak with you this evening. Patrick and I both really appreciate how open and friendly you were during our conversation, as well as how interested you were in us and our questions!

I was impressed with the amount of information and the obvious effort that your website contains, which is why we applied.

Again, we have been really impressed by the level of information, support, and courtesy you and your company have shown us, so we definitely want you to represent us from here on out.

Thanks again, Misty

Hi Jason:

I finally had a chance to sit down and listen to the complete audio presentation by ASK Now and would like to provide you with some positive feedback.

By nature I am a planner and researcher.  I like to look into many aspects of a decision or situation before embarking, including speaking to those who have been there or are currently there.  My overall goal is to get a sense of what a situation would be like and   whether it would be suited for me BEFORE I leave.  I would like to commend you on taking the time to prepare and broadcast the 50 minute audio forum on teaching in Korea.  Any questions or uncertainties I had regarding teaching overseas were answered and I have to admit that I am more enthusiastic and excited about teaching in Korea than ever before!  Sometimes I think it is good that I am taking the time now to learn all this and get excited.

So thank you again for taking the time to answer those questions I didn't even know I wanted to ask, and for providing such incredible resources.  It is evident that your passion for teaching, for Korea and for your company extends well beyond the business realm - and it is encouraging and welcomed!

To whom it may concern:

First, I would like to say Bravo for your very informative and frank website about teaching in Korea. The information that you provided was helpful and insightful, not to mention quite amusing.

Elizabeth W.

Hello Vivianne & Jason

Oh I am delighted! The guidebook is brilliant - really interesting & just what I need to make everything seem real.

Thank you both for all the additional information you have sent, its very helpful & I think it’s a good idea to get my head round processes such as banking before i arrive in order to help me settle in quicker.

Thank you again,

Fionnuala H

Hello Jason and Matthew,

I enjoyed listening to your 50 min. audio.  I also feel that your web site is very helpful and one of the best ones out there.  I have filled and sent an application and hope to start teaching soon!

Thank You for being in business!

Ji Kim

Thank you for the response Jason, it is nice to have someone else keeping me on track.

I can definitely see why Evelyn raved so much about you and your company.

I watched your longer presentation last night and would like to thank you for taking the time to put together these resources, especially for first time ESL teachers.

Thank you, you guys have been great in getting all of this together for me.  You are a wonderful organization. I will keep you posted as I make the move.

Art C

Hey there,

I really appreciate you all staying in touch...the others from "Company X" growl at us when we say our recruiter follows up.  Ha.

I dig my classes and students, and am enjoying the dubu kimchi in almost unreasonable amounts.   So, yeah, I guess I can thank you all for that.

Alright, thanks again.

Have a good weekend~  Sarah S

I was a little nervous going to Korea all by myself.

I was very worried about this and it was a huge relief the way everything worked so smoothly.  I am very happy to be here and to have gone through your website.  You have been there since the very beginning!

Thank you for all your help,

Melissa B

I really appreciate the time you spent to write a long and personal email to me. I laughed at your comments. You covered all bases and really changed my feelings about South Korea.
Thank you so much for all your help, I can't tell you how impressed I am with your company.

Rosey S.

I've been in Suwon for two weeks now!  So far everything's great, and I like it way more than I thought I would!!!  An easier adjustment than I thought with all the help from the ex-pats.  I'm proud of myself for making the leap!  Not that scary after all and I feel soooooooooooooooooooooo much better about my life and it's direction.  It's been years since I've felt this good about myself.

Take care,

Dawn S.

Hey Jason,

Thanks for all your help I really appreciate it. So far I am loving Korea, I knew I would.

My school my director and the kids are great. Does Ask Now ever have any get-togethers or parties? Let me know. Anyway, we are getting ready for a field trip to the park. I'll tell you more when I have more time.

Nick C.

Dear Jason,

You guys were super helpful throughout the whole process and gave me a lot of really great information before coming to Korea.  I would gladly recommend your company to anyone thinking about teaching here.

Erin M.

Hey Jason,

Everything is going quite well so far.  The people I work with seem nice and I have met some other foreign teachers from various schools in the area who seem pleased to show me the ropes (Norea-bang and Soju my 3rd night here)

Thanks for all the help and for putting up with my being picky.

~Justin C

Hey jason

Korea sure is completely different from Canada.  The food took me a while to get used to but now I LOVE kimchi.  I've started to pick up the language from the kids, just some little phrases and words.    The area of Suwon that I live and work in (Yeoung-tong) is really great.  At this point, the next 9 months seem like they will be a good time and fly by extremely fast.

Taking it all in,

Elizabeth M

Hi Jason,

Things are going well for me out here in Korea. I was real glad to se that Korea has so many mountains I’ve been doing tons of hiking.

By the way on my second week here I was walking down the street when I ran into Matt
B. I’ve known him for four years and was friends with him back at LU. I had no idea he was coming out here. Turns out he teaches just around the corner from me and lives 10 minutes away. It was crazy running into him like that!

Talk to you soon,

Justin C

Hi Jason,

I just wanted to say how much I have enjoyed reading through all the information you have put on your web site. I have been looking into teaching abroad for more than a year and a half, and I have looked at many sites regarding teaching ESL.

Your site is by far the most resourceful and informative. It is wonderfully put together. Also, the e-mails that you have sent me have made me feel like you really care about what you are doing. It seems as though you have a true desire to help others enjoy this amazing opportunity.

Thank you for that.

Sarah S

Thanks Jason. I love that guide! It's very helpful. Like I told David, it was refreshing to work with your company and you guys were very comforting and helpful in every step.
Thank you for everything.

Ginger K

Hey Jason,

I agree, there is so much information out there at the moment. I'm busy sifting through the good stuff and bad stuff. Rest assured, your site is deemed worthy of a bookmark in my favorites folder.

Cheers bud,
Kirk B

Hello Jason,

From the brief time that I have been dealing with your company you have proven to be extremely considerate and helpful.  It has been a pleasure and I will certainly refer you to others.

Tessa R

Hi Jason

Yes, I did enjoy your digital brochure. I also enjoyed reading your website info: the best source of straightforward information concerning teaching English in Korea that I've read.

Eric T.

Hello Jason,

It was reassurance that I wanted and you definitely provided it.  I was a little skeptical of what I was reading on the discussion boards at xyzcafe.com, but now feel completely at ease of any hesitation I may have had.  Personally, I feel that your website and your response was much more objective in its content than the other discussion boards I visited.

So Jason, I am still very excited and hope to hear from you soon regarding the next steps in the application process.

Sincerely yours,
Brian R.

I know that traveling as a group of three would be difficult for placement, okay it would have been very hard for anyone else, but thanks to ASK Now we are all living together and enjoying our experience in South Korea. You have done everything that you promised and it all happened exactly as you said it would. And the way everything was broken down so that we understood everything was fantastic.

Thank you for helping find a way to live and love our teaching dreams!

Jenn, Adam & Sarah

Thank you for all the help.  Not only was your website very helpful, but the open communication and response to emails could not have been any more effective and professional.  Thank you again for all your help!

Mark & Rachelle

Hello Jason,

Thank you so much for your response!  I can not get over how accessible, supportive and REAL you and your team are. It is greatly appreciated!  I am absolutely 100% committed to this opportunity and adventure..  Thanks again, the ASK Now team is great!

Kind Regards,
Elise O

Hi Jason,

Sorry that we didn't write sooner but it has been a hectic last week and we are just getting settled in at the moment.  The trip was long and seemed to never end but our experience in Korea to date has been amazing.  All the staff at ECC have been great and have assisted us with anything that we need.  Thank you for placing us with an outstanding school, it was much appreciated.

Thanks again,
Jeff and Angela

How are you?  Well, I've survived my first week here in Korea.  I really do like my school very much.  They've really been a huge help and I like my students.  I admire the work ethic of the Koreans.

Thank you for placing me in this school.  I've had no problems so far and the school has gone above and beyond the call of duty in helping me.
Robert B

Hello Jason,

Thank you for writing. We are in fact enjoying ourselves quite a bit over here. Jin Ju is the perfect city for us, not too big and not too small and definitely not polluted!

We have a great staff, both foreign and Korean and our head teacher is very accommodating. We have a huge apartment, with all the amenities, including a computer and a balcony.

In fact, I really think that you did a fabulous job for us. We were so nervous because there is so much negative stuff written about Korea and working at Hagwons. Using your company as a third party gave us that bit of reassurance that we needed to feel confident in signing. I really appreciated all your correspondences, answering our many questions and laying everything out very simply. I would recommend your services to anyone, anytime.

Thank you again, I am really happy that I found your website and used your services!

Hi, Jason

It has been a great experience to work with all of you, and I appreciate everything that you've done to get me here. I have nothing but positive words and thoughts for ASK Now. You have put together a fantastic organization.

Thanks again for everything that you do. I am sure I will chat with you again some time.

Sarah O

As a first time teacher abroad, I was skeptical at the opportunity.  I have heard of things like this in the past, and always wanted to do it, however, in the back of my mind, the question always lingered about whether it was legit.  I have now been teaching in Korea for a month, and can't even begin to express the experience I am having.  The culture is amazing, the teaching is really fun, and I have met a lot of Korean and foreign friends from all over the world.  The work is a lot of fun, and you get a lot of time to go travel and have fun.  If you are worried about meeting people, I have found that every town and city has its own group of Waegook (foreigners) teachers, and they are all really supportive of each other.  There are many "Western" bars around, but I also suggest taking in a lot of the local establishments.

ASK Now was able to assist in setting everything up right away.  They got me an interview the day after I applied, and a confirmed teaching job in less than three days after I applied.  They, unlike many companies, are there to help you out whenever you need it.  Jason, the owner of ASK now is based in Daegu, so there is a contact here in Korea, and he met me on my first day here.  This is a great experience, and I cannot recommend this opportunity enough.

Ryan G

I wanted to thank you for taking the time to interview me today.  I enjoyed visiting with you and appreciated all you had to share!  I very much look forward to this experience and am so grateful for ASK Now’s help with the process!  Thank you again for your time and consideration!

Cheyenne C

Heya Jason!

Well finally I made it! And today is only my second day at the school, but I have to say, so far so good! The flight was fine and I was met at the airport as promised. I arrived in my town that evening by bus and was greeted by the principal who brought me to my apartment. I must say I was pleasantly surprised by its size and it has everything I could have asked for.

At the moment I am just enjoying being a stranger in a new town, walking around not having a clue what anything is - its fun! My Principal Mr. Lee has been a most excellent host and I feel we will get on very well this year. Thank you again for all your help and I will be in touch throughout the year.

Thank you and take care.

Hello Jason,

Just wanted to let you know that your website has been incredibly insightful. My wife and I have a lot to consider and would jump at an opportunity to teach in South Korea.  We have a friend who is currently teaching in Daegu and absolutely  loving her experience. She has recommended the job and so we've been  doing our home work.

Jared Hale

I always tell people....If you are ready to leave your old way of thinking behind and embrace a new culture, then you will love it.

Teaching in Korea is an adventure. Unless you have a better offer in your hometown, go have some fun, meet some great people and make some money. If you could save $12 to $15,000 this year and have fun doing it, would you consider that to be a successful 2007?

Being nervous is normal; were you nervous (with anticipation) your first day of grade school, high school, university? of course you were, me too....Were you or are you nervous (with anticipation) asking a girl out on a date and then again on date day? Well, going overseas is the same thing. You will never know what it’s really like until you go. Nothing ever happens in anyone’s life , until they say "YES".

Of the sites that I visited regarding employment in Korea, you are definitely the most personable and informed, so I’m going to cast my vote with you.

Hi Jason,

Once Vivianne sent me the information, ASK Now is not the only program that I have corresponded with. Leaving for Korea is a huge step and I wanted to ensure that I had all the information I needed.

After I spoke with Vivianne tonight, I decided that your program is the most informative and helpful and I want to go through your services. I have notified the other program that I will not be needing their services anymore.

I look forward to your next correspondence regarding the interview with the director.

Jennifer G

Hi Jason,

I just wanted to thank you again for all your help with my search for a teaching position in Korea and for you and your company to send me the guide book after I have let you know that I will be going to through another company shows both character and professionalism for you and your company.   Let it be known that I will recommend your company to anyone I encounter in my travels who are thinking of teaching in Korea and, also, I will definitely keep you in mind in case I need assistance in finding another job or your insight in questions I have during my upcoming teaching experience.  Once again, thank you and best of luck with the business.

Wow you are amazing! It is so nice to know there is an organization out there that is not JUST focused on making money, and ACTUALLY concerned with the welfare of PEOPLE FIRST!! You guys are truly unique.

Thank you so much for all your help. I know that when I want another contract after this one is over you guys are the FIRST and only people I'll be contacting! You guys truly are stars!

Dave G

I have been spending a lot of time researching various companies.  There are almost too many.  However, your website is one of the most straightforward I've dealt with thus far.

Arthur H

Hi Jason,

I should start by thanking you and your affiliates for the great job you've found us.  Vanessa E. School is a great place.  It has a very down to earth feel.   Gumi is a nice place. The size is perfect and it's the same distance to everywhere.  We are great and enjoying our time.

Be well.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am very excited about this opportunity!  After a lot of searching I am glad I finally found your website.  Thank you for putting so much information on it.  I have read through almost everything.  I was thrilled when I learned I could earn a decent salary while living abroad, as my bills and loans were the main factor prohibiting me from moving overseas.

My motivations for going to Korea are many of the same ones that you mention in your 50 minute audio presentation.  Having worked in a law firm for the past two years, I am not quite yet ready to resign myself to a desk job.  At 24, I have most of my life to do that; I still want to be adventurous and see the world.

Thank you very much for considering my application, and again, for disseminating the information that you do and giving people such a wonderful opportunity.  I hope to hear from you soon, and hope to become one of your clients.

David L

Hey Jason

I'm actually already in my 9th month out here and I love it, but I couldn't resist reading another opinion on the country / job. It really made me laugh to read the article in retrospect - I wish I had read the part about the 'complainers' before meeting my new colleagues!  I think it is a very honest insight and a valuable source to those contemplating a career out here.

Thank you!

Dear Jason,

I have been through all of the information available on your website, including the audio commentary. I can honestly say that I found it fascinating and extremely informative. I am still very much interested in applying for a position in South Korea.

I have learned more about teaching in Korea through your website than any other single resource on the internet.

Alex B

Hi! I just wanted to say that I have thought about teaching English overseas for the past few years now.   I think that South Korea looks like a beautiful and fascinating country to visit and live in.  I loved the pictures and the presentation.  Thank you for your time and for putting together a great service and website!

Alana J

I am very excited about my chance to teach in South Korea!  I just wanted to let you know that I have received the informational CD, the guidebook, and the informational links that you have sent me.  I have begun looking over all the information and am pleased to say that it has only furthered my excitement.  I am very pleased with your organization and can't wait to become a part of it!

Laura H

Things are going really well over here so far and I'm really enjoying my time. My school has turned out to be great and the other teachers have been very helpful and friendly.
I've had the chance to do some touristy stuff and have some pictures that I could send.

Justin K

I wanted to write back and let you know that I don't have any concerns about ASK Now.  I have been treated very well so far. I am actually very determined to find a position through ASK Now because I have such a good feeling about it through the website and the people I have had contacts with.  I have actually turned down positions offered to me from another company before I found your site

Best wishes to you and yours.
Jonathan N

With a strong interest teaching English, ASK Now has given me an opportunity of a lifetime.  Currently, I am located in Yong-in South Korea and I work for a school called Nobel.  Everyday is never a boring one.

Thanks for everything ASK Now!!

Eric N

Thank you so much.  You have been very professional and helpful during this entire process.  I continue to be impressed by your willingness to help me now.

Thank you,
Mike H

Hi Jason,

Yep, starting to settle in now. I've got to say it's a lot easier when you hit the ground running. This is my second contract in Korea and the differences, to the first, are startling. I was actually met at the airport instead of having to find my own way half way down the peninsula. Then, thanks to you guys, the quality school I was hooked up with have taken care of me since.

They took me out to dinner on my first night to welcome me. After that they marched me down to the local convenience store and helped me shop for all I would need for breakfast the next day. If only I had known about ASK Now for my first experience, where I was dumped into my slightly run down apartment and left to find my own way.

I would not hesitate in recommending ASK Now to those who are serious about teaching English in Korea. They not only guided me through the whole daunting recruitment process, and hooked me up with quality employers, but also followed up in the weeks after my arrival to make sure everything was ok.

I have heard horror stories about employers and even had to do it a little tough on my first contract. The recruitment process can, at least in part, determine what your stay in Korea will be like. I am so happy I found professionals who know what they are doing and had my interests as a priority, this time.

Thanks so much,

My experience with ASK Now has been excellent!  I was informed each step of the way, and your team was always available for any questions or concerns throughout the process.  The school I am working for is a great place to work.  The staff is approachable and friendly.  All of the resources I need are available for me, and there are many other teachers/new friends to explore Seoul with.

I am having a great time, and am so glad I made the decision to come to Seoul.  I love Korean barbeques, and there is SO much to get involved with outside of work.  I have even started taking Korean Classes once a week!  Living near a mountain with Buddhist temples doesn't hurt either!

Laura B.

When I decided that I wanted to teach English in Korea, one of the best things that happened to me was becoming affiliated with ASK Now.  I had been affiliated with other recruiting agencies before, and they were all decent, but ASK Now had that little bit extra that I needed.  From day one, they were involved with every step of the process of getting me the right position in Korea.

They cover every aspect of making the transition to a life in Asia.  From talking you through the VISA process, to preparing you mentally for everything that you will face in the coming months, ASK Now was there at every turn.  When I landed here in Daegu, I felt immensely confident and ready for every challenge.  They secured for me a good job with a reputable school in exactly the city I wanted to be in.  I would have to say that my experience with ASK Now was absolutely invaluable.

Devin C

To all you who are considering teaching English in Korea, I would highly recommend using ASK Now Inc. Here are my reasons...first of all, I found them....they are direct, no fluff, just facts, no beating around the bush....if you have any questions, they are there to help you. From the get go, they were completely accommodating with my requests. I had all of the information I needed at my fingertips and they actually call you on the phone!!

From the moment I emailed them and told them I wanted to use their company, they have provided me with exact instructions on the how to's of the entire process from beginning to end. I knew what to do, when to do it, and why....they never leave you hanging and now that I'm in Korea,  they keep in touch and help me. They are direct in their approach and I really love that!  We are meeting up soon for a big party and I actually get to meet my recruiters!!!  How many other teachers can say that??  I haven't met any!!

Other teachers are even impressed with their service. (I've told them about the wonderful treatment I'm getting and they think that's totally cool)  :)  Soooo....to put your mind at ease....come to Korea if you are an open person and can adapt in different situations!!!   I'm very lucky to have found ASK Now Inc.! My email is available if you have any concerns or questions about using their service and/or coming to Korea!!

Let me just start by saying that Ask Now is one of the most comprehensive guides to any job that I have ever seen. Jason and staff understand every thought that is going on in a prospective teacher’s head and answer any concerns fully. The multi-media aspect is very useful and gives a real flavor of adventures yet to occur.

Speaking to someone who has lived the experience you desire is a great help in overcoming any anxieties that naturally arise. Jason was so friendly and informative in emails that any concerns I may have had just melted away. The ultra positive attitude shown by the site psyches you up for your trip and makes you want to be there as soon as possible! As opposed to a company, ASK Now really feels like a good friend giving sensible advice and working to ensure you have the time of your life.

I can't thank you enough for everything Jason.

Thanks again!

You are by far and away the most professional and engaging of all the recruiters I've dealt with to date. Your screening process, useful information emails and relaxed style speak to a guy who loves his job.

I'll definitely stay in touch once in Korea to set up my next position. Stay well.

Hello to all at ASK Now Inc!

Great news! I've had an interview with Brant and signed up for the contract at the school in Incheon. I would like to express sincere thanks for all your help, advice and information to me in making this step in my life a reality.

Yours gratefully,

Phil G

Thanks for all the help, I have been in Korea for a little over a month and everything is great.  I would say I was pretty lucky that I went through www.asknow.ca.  I heard something about teaching in South Korea and your website came up.  You have been extremely helpful from the time I first inquired about the opportunity up until now.   The Ski trip was a blast and I am looking forward to other events.  I realized once I was in Korea that there were so many bogus recruiting firms.

Thanks again, and I will see you sometime soon.

Your website has single handedly given me the conviction I needed to make this decision - thank you. Everyone I tell about the life-changing potential that this experience has to offer is amazed and becomes just as excited as I am!

Thanks a million for all your prompt communication, I know this is going to be a great working relationship. I feel so confident knowing they you guys are behind me all the way.

Hope you have a great weekend!

Take care,

Megan F

As you can imagine, I've been really busy since I got here. Things are going very well! I'm also learning so much. Thanks again for your help getting me here. I'm looking forward to a great year with this school. Everyone here is really nice.

The word is quickly passing around our school, and wider circle of how great ASK Now is... these parties are not only fun, but good for your business.  I have already recommended you to so many people!
Let me know when, I am there!  (Had to miss the ski trip, but heard it was great!)

Thanks, Sarah

I'm enjoying Korea.  Thank you so much for the school we were placed in. The directors are really nice, and I’m glad I’m working with my friend, Chris.

Hi Jason,

Thanks for the welcome. The flight was good, I even managed quite a bit of sleep which I never do on flights.

Everything is going well and it’s good to be back.  The school has been treating me really well and I seem to be settling into the position well.

Our boss took all the staff out to a concert this week-end. Very enjoyable. The apartment is also great. I really have no complaints. Thank you to you and all your staff for setting me up with such a good school. I certainly would recommend ASK Now for anyone who is looking to teach English here.

Catch ya later.

All is well in S. Korea and the transition from USA went smooth.  Thank you for your assistance as I pursue a career as a teacher in this country. Brant, Joanne, Ann and the rest of the Kim Family are very generous and they welcomed me with open-arms.

I wish you all the best and thank you profusely for the kindness and support you have shown to me throughout this journey and application process. I also hope that my experience is as positive as yours, and that I might be able to give back to your organization in some way, in the future.

Take care,

Hi Jason!

Thank you for the warm welcome note.

The flight went by pretty quickly and I certainly knew I was in Asia; on the flight from Tokyo to Busan, the served the meal with chopsticks.  I am still getting the hang of those but I am certainly not starving to death.  Korean cuisine is very delicious. I am sure that I will develop a knack for the teaching bit with practice.  So far, things look pretty exciting.

Take care, and thanks again for helping me along this journey.

Hello Jason and Brant-

Just wanted to give you a heads up that all is going well here at Wonderland in Yeo-Ju.   The flight was long and the bus trip from Incheon was about 2 hours, yet representatives from the local western contingent greeted us and sat us down to a wonderful authentic Korean meal.

We're continuing to get settled into our apartment and work schedules - the kids are a real joy to work with as well as developing relationships with our co-workers.

I look forward to meeting you and thanks again for your efforts. I'm very happy to be here.

Hi Jason and everyone else!

I am having a pretty amazing time in Korea. I am taking advantage of my weekends and touring some, mainly hiking and going to Seoul to shop.  I just went to Beijing last week for my vacation as well!  So, I have been very busy and the new session starts this Friday! I am not fluent yet, but I have been learning more vocabulary and the characters. My students are always amazed when I speak Korean. As for photos, you can go to my blog at www.jennaperteacher.blogspot.com

There are tons of pics so far of Korea and China and everything I've done up to this point.

Dear Jason,

I'd like to include my testimonial! You have such a generous heart, I am astounded that you have been, and are still so helpful,  even after I accepted a position through another recruiter. I'm thrilled to have this support, and agree that we're all in this together. I'm hoping to meet all of you, soon!

Jason and Brant:

Well, I've been here in Seoul for a week now and everything has been going quite well. I am very happy with the way in which things have turned out. All my co-workers are wonderful people, the director of the school is a great, and children are amazing, smart learners. I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate all your help and continued correspondence in the time leading up to my arrival here. If there is ever anything I can do for you, please don't hesitate to call on me.

Hi Jason,

Things are going great so far. I've still haven't hit that "settled in" stage yet, but I'm at least starting to get the hang of teaching, eating out, and traveling.

Socially, I've met a bunch of other foreigners and some Koreans through ultimate Frisbee. They mostly meet on Sundays and play and then go out eating and drinking. I even got to take a trip to Ulsan to see a traditional Korean wedding a few weekends ago with a group of ultimate players. And of course, aside from that weekend, the highlight so far has been going skiing for the first time at Yongpyeong.
Brant and his family were excellent hosts and the group was very fun to hang out with.  I got some great pictures that I uploaded at:

Anyeong hi gaseyo,

Hi Jason and Company,

Things are going very well, I am settling in and I have met a lot of awesome people....I love teaching and I love Korea!

I have been in South Korea for a month, and I love it!  It is an awesome learning experience that I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to gain perspective, have tons of fun, and make good money doing it!  I wish ASK Now was the recruitment agency for the entire Globe, as I would access them for any future travels abroad.  My entire trip has been so smooth and positive, no unexpected surprises at all, so a big thanks to the people at ASK Now for being extremely thorough, genuine, knowledgeable and professional!

Your website was extremely informative! The 9 Things You Need to Know was also great. The level of thoroughness and your experience definitely shows through the website.

Hey Jason,

I'm great! Loving it in Korea. The food is nice, the scenery is awesome and the people are cool!

ASK Now provided an all round professional and competent service for me, helping me at every step of the way. The school they placed me with is excellent, and I'm having a great time. I would certainly recommend using ASK Now, and I'll undoubtedly use them again in the future. Many thanks to Jason and all the ASK Now team.

Although I found and signed a contract with another company, Jason at Ask Now Inc. was always helpful and gracious to answer all my questions and concerns. I imagine that I'll be in contact in the future with this organization when searching for future positions.

Their success is paralleled by their professionalism.

Angelo Bernardo, Teacher and Musical Performer

Hey Jason-
Living and working in Korea is a reality that I never would have dreamed of as a possibility for myself.  No one from back home wanted to join me on this venture, but I couldn't let the opportunity slip by, so I bit the bullet and headed on over by myself.  Since coming here I have met wonderful people and experienced life in a country that is so different and so wonderful.

You all made the process so simple and placed me at a fantastic school.  I've spoken to other teachers who didn't come here through ASK Now and they were not so lucky in their placements.  I have a lovely apartment and I really enjoy going to work everyday.  Gwangju is a great city- big enough for entertainment, but not so large that it's impossible to navigate.

I've had a great experience, and I would totally recommend it to anyone who's looking for a little adventure.  I wouldn't consider myself a terribly adventurous person, but apparently I'm enough of one to enjoy it here!

Hi Jason and company,

Thank you all for everything!  From the moment I left Canada until I was settled into my Korean apartment (which is huge, yayyyy) it was smooth sailing, seriously, the smoothest transition ever!  It’s a great experience, lots of great people to work with and the kids are so damn cute!!!! No complaints at all, I knew it was going to be totally different but that is also why I wanted to come..... Brant Kim, my Korean representative from ASK Now was absolutely amazing in answering any and all of my questions and concerns in a timely manner so I want to say a very special thank you to Brant....thanks again,

Elise O

I found the ASK Now website while doing homework for my TESOL class.  I was really impressed with the volumes of info available about teaching in South Korea.  By checking out the videos, the audio presentation and reading up on all the helpful tips, ASK Now really helped me to feel more comfortable about going to teach in a culture very different from my own.  Thanks so much guys, keep up the good work.

I looked forward to the idea of going to teach in South Korea. When I began to look at the opportunity as a serious option, I discovered how little I knew about what I was getting myself into. I wanted reliability.

Going half way around the world was stressful enough, I didn't want to worry about dealing with a sketchy school or find out what I signed up for isn't what I got. So I decided to go through ASK Now. It was a great decision. They worked out any kinks that came up and I had someone to meet me at the airport. You really appreciate that when you fly across the Pacific, I discovered. In addition, the school they set me up with was exactly what I wanted.

I love the position here, and ASK Now still checks up on me to make sure I am alive and well. It's more than reassuring to work with them. I'd recommend them to everyone and anyone considering coming to teach in Korea. In fact, I have.

Gwangju is a great city.  There's a little of everything it seems.  ECC is nice, the students are lovely and my co-workers are super!  They've been very helpful getting me settled in and finding the grocery store, getting a handle on the classes/teaching methods, etc.  They're just life savers and all very friendly.

I think it's going to be a great year.  Thanks for paving the way!

Thank you to everyone at the company for providing great service. The experience of gathering information from the website and emails of ASK Now has been invaluable. My interview with Vivianne made me realize that the company truly cares about assisting prospective teachers throughout the whole international recruitment process. ASK Now provides the best resources I've found related to teaching ESL overseas. I contacted ten recruiters, and ASK Now provided the best service by far. Any teacher would be privileged to deal with you.

Best regards,
Gabriel R.

The report was awesome and the 50 minute audio was also very informative. My girlfriend and I are in the beginning stages of researching a possible move to South Korea and your website has been a phenomenal resource for us.
Thank you very much.

Jay S.

Thanks very much for the guide; it appears to cover all topics and I look forward to reading it.  I will certainly recommend your organization to my friends - I have a few in mind.  And thank you for offering to be a resource to me in the future.  That is gracious of you and speaks volumes about you and the people you work with.  Thanks again and I wish you continued success.

This is Sarah from Suwon ECC! I only got to meet you briefly at the Christmas party but I never got a chance to tell you how much fun I had and I can't thank you enough. It was so nice to meet everyone and share our stories together. I thought it was great how we all kind of stuck together throughout the night too. Anyhow, thanks again for that and also for being such a helpful recruiter.

Sarah S.

Hello Jason,

I'm so glad to be here finally. I have nothing but praise for how things are now, and I really mean it. I love my school (I could never have found a better one myself), I love my roommates, I'm excited about the kids I'm teaching. Coming to Korea may have been one of the best decisions I've made in my life.

Everything is great. I love my apartment. I love my town. I love my bosses, Ms. Choi and Mr. Yu.  My flight was fine.  Thanks again for all your help. I will recommend everyone I know to you.
